STEUBENVILLE, OH— Doug Keck, EWTN’s chief operating officer and executive vice president and host of “EWTN Bookmark,” will speak at Franciscan University of Steubenville on becoming an effective, Christ-centered leader. His talk, “Real Leadership in a Virtual Universe,” will be given Thursday, September 19, at 7:30 p.m. in the Tony and Nina Gentile Gallery of the J.C. Williams Center.
He believes that both professional and personal relationships thrive when they abide by the words of St. Francis DeSales: “ Friendship requires great communication.”
Prior to joining EWTN in 1996, Keck helped launch more than 25 international, national, and regional television networks, such as AMC, Bravo, and CNBC.
Keck’s talk will be followed by a question and answer session. This event is free and open to the public. The talk is part of the fall 2013 Distinguished Speakers Series and is sponsored by Franciscan University’s Advancement Office and the Center for Leadership.
Through the Distinguished Speakers Series, Franciscan University of Steubenville hosts leaders who have distinguished themselves by integrating their faith and public life and thereby inspire the next generation to be a transforming presence in the Church and society.
