    Brief Bio

    Teaches courses in music theory and sacred music. Active as an educator and classical guitarist, he has directed music programs at churches in Ohio, New Jersey and West Virginia, including Sacred Heart Co-Cathedral in Charleston, West Virginia.

    Recent publications include the compact disc “Ron DuBois: Classical Guitar” (2004) and an article in the American Suzuki Journal entitled “Becoming an Excellent Suzuki Teacher: One Guitar and Piano Teacher’s Viewpoint.” A member of the Suzuki Association of the Americas and the Guitar Society of Fine Art, Professor DuBois teaches classical guitar, piano and music theory at the Pittsburgh Music Academy and offers instruction in guitar and piano privately in Steubenville.

    He holds the bachelor of music degree from West Virginia University at Morgantown and the master of music degree from Duquesne University. He has pursued additional training in sacred music at the New York School of Liturgical Music and Saint Joseph College and in the Suzuki method from various Suzuki Institutes for Teacher Training.
