    MS in Education

    The MS in Education requires 36 hours ofcoursework, which includes nine hours in philosophical studies, educationalresearch, and a master's project.

    An additional concentration of 15 hours focuson curriculum, human development, computers, models of teaching, and school andsociety. The final 12 hours are electives, which may correspond to astudent's particular area of interest or may be diversified to broaden thestudent's perspective of the educational system.

    MS in Educational Administration

    Completion of the MS in Educational Administration requires 36 hours of coursework and includes 15 hours inphilosophical studies, research methodology, field experience, and a master'sproject.  Eighteen hours in leadership courses along with three electivehours in elementary or secondary administration round out the curriculum.

    After completing the MS in EducationalAdministration, individuals may seek state licensure as a principal oradministrative specialist by completing an additional 15 hours ofcoursework. Licensure as a superintendent requires an additional 30 hoursof coursework.

    The Master's in Education and the Master's inEducational Administration are two-semester evening programs during the academicyear with three other sessions: the Maymester, Summer Session I, and SummerSession II.
