A vocal recital and a piano recital free and open to the public

STEUBENVILLE, OH — Two concerts featuring prominent musicians will be held in March at Franciscan University of Steubenville.

On March 1, Craig Verm will present a voice recital at 8:00 p.m. in the Tony and Nina Gentile Gallery, J. C. Williams Center. Verm is a 2006 national semifinalist in the Metropolitan Opera National Council Auditions and is also a former member of the young artist programs Santa Fe Opera and Cincinnati Opera. He received his master of music from the University of Cincinnati-College Conservatory of Music and graduated cum laude from Rice University’s Shepherd School of Music.

On March 8, Dr. Gerald Lee will present a piano recital at 2:00 p.m. in the Tony and Nina Gentile Gallery, J. C. Williams Center. Lee was recently named winner of the 2007-08 West Liberty State College Excellence in Professional Activity Award. He is an associate professor of piano at West Liberty State College, West Liberty, West Virginia, an active member of the Music Teachers' National Association, College Music Society, and a board member for the West Virginia Music Teachers’ Association.

Both concerts are free and open to the public.
