STEUBENVILLE, OH—Kathryn Jean Lopez, editor of National Review Online, will speak at Franciscan University of Steubenville on "Politics, Journalism, and Faith" on Tuesday, November 10, at 8:30 p.m. in the International Lounge of the J. C. Williams Center.
An award-winning opinion journalist and editor, Lopez is the editor of National Review Online and an associate editor at National Review.
She writes often on bioethics, religion, feminism, education, and politics and is often a lone voice, a faithful Catholic who stands up for the culture of life in the rough-and-tumble world of Washington journalism and politics.Lopez has appeared on CNN, the Fox News Channel, MSNBC, and Oxygen and is a frequent guest on radio and TV shows internationally.
In addition to National Review and NRO, her work has appeared in the Wall Street Journal, The Women's Quarterly, The National Catholic Register, Our Sunday Visitor, American Outlook, and The Human Life Review, among other publications.
The talk is free and open to the public, and will be followed by refreshments. Lopez's lecture is another installment in the Franciscan University Distinguished Speaker Series, which features leaders who have distinguished themselves in service to Church and society. The lecture is co-sponsored by the University's Advancement Office and Student Life Office.
