STEUBENVILLE, OH—The Franciscan University of Steubenville Bachelor of Science in Nursing Program has been granted another eight years of accreditation from the NLNAC (National League for Nursing Accrediting Commission).
The announcement followed a comprehensive review of the program, which included a three-day site visit by NLNAC representatives. The accreditation recognizes that the Franciscan University BSN program meets or exceeds standards and criteria for educational quality for nursing students.
This fall, 125 students will be enrolled in the program, which was founded in 1979. Last spring 42 students graduated and embarked on careers in all facets of nursing including positions at major medical centers and rural hospitals; adult and neonatal intensive care units; trauma centers, outpatient clinics; and with the Armed Forces and foreign medical missions.
