    About Father Gregory

    Father Gregory M. Plow, T.O.R. is a native of Chapel Hill, North Carolina. He attended the University of North Carolina at Wilmington where he graduated with a BA in Mathematics, a concentration in Education, teacher's certification, and two (2) minors: Statistics and Art History.

    He earned a Masters of Science in Education Administration from Franciscan University of Steubenville with a principal’s license and a concentration in Curriculum Instruction and Professional Development. He also has earned a Masters of Divinity.

    After his undergraduate career, he taught mathematics at Cardinal Gibbons High School in Raleigh, NC for two years.

    He subsequently entered formation for the Franciscan Friars of the Third Order Regular (T.O.R.) of St. Francis of Penance in the Province of the Most Sacred Heart of Jesus (Loretto, Pennsylvania).

    He professed his simple (first) vows on May 31, 2003 and his solemn (final) vows on July 20, 2007.  He was ordained a deacon on the Feast of St. Clare, 2007 and ordained a priest on the Feast of the Dedication of the Basilica of St. Francis of Assisi in May, 2008.

    He has done numerous different types of ministries in Loretto, PA; Baltimore, MD; Washington, DC and Herndon, VA.

    Fr. Gregory began his ministry and work at Franciscan University of Steubenville in the Fall of 2006. Since then he has served as Assistant Coordinator of Household Life for two years and seven years as Director of Household Life. He has additionally been chaplain to the FUS men’s and women’s cross country teams for nine years and occasionally has served as adjunct faculty in the Department of Mathematical Sciences.
