From Bishop Sam Jacobs and Father Dave Pivonka, TOR

“I expected all of you, charismatics from around the world, to celebrate your great jubilee with the pope at Pentecost 2017 in St. Peter's Square"

If Pope Francis invites you—expects you—to come to Rome, it is probably a good idea to accept his invitation. This is exactly what the Holy Father is doing by inviting Catholics who want to celebrate the Jubilee of Catholic Charismatic Renewal.

Along with our Holy Father, we would like to invite you to join us on what will surely be a blessed and holy pilgrimage.

We will start our pilgrimage with seven unforgettable days in the Holy Land. It’s not possible in one brief invitation to mention all the amazing places we will visit, but we will spend time at the Sea of Galilee, the Mount of Beatitudes, and Capernaum. Married couples will have the opportunity to renew their wedding vows at Cana, the site of Jesus' first miracle. Our time in the Holy Land will conclude in the holy city of Jerusalem where we will visit Bethlehem, the Basilica of Agony, and the Basilica of the Holy Sepulcher, and walk the Via Dolorosa. After having visited the Holy Land you will never read the Scriptures or attend Mass in the same way.

From the Holy Land we will depart for Rome to join our Catholic brothers and sisters from all over the world. The Charismatic Renewal has been a blessing to the Church for 50 years; the Holy Father wants Catholics to join him in celebration and thanksgiving. While in Rome, we will have the opportunity to visit the major Basilicas of Rome as well as many of the historical sites. There will also be lectures, preaching, times of anointed praise, and plenty of time for fellowship and gelato. Our time in Rome will culminate in a celebration with the Holy Father at St. Peter's on the Solemnity of Pentecost. What an amazing and holy celebration this will be. And you have been invited by the Holy Father himself! How can we say no to that?

Please prayerfully consider joining Franciscan University of Steubenville, the National Service committee of the Catholic Charismatic Renewal, and us on a holy pilgrimage that will bless you and bring you abundant grace.

    God bless,

    Bishop Sam Jacobs
