| Duties | Monitor Language Learning Center and its equipment. Keep LLC neat and tidy. Assist Language Learning Center patrons with checking in and out, finding learning materials, operating computer and other equipment, duplicating AV materials and helping lower-level language students with their language studies through individual mini tutoring and practice sessions on demand. Assist the modern and classical language faculty with AV duplication, CD and DVD burning, scanning and upload of images in PowerPoint files, alphabetizing and filing of materials/documents stored in/disseminated via the LLC, occasional pre-marking of multiple choice and true/false items, occasional word and data processing tasks, etc. Assist the chair of the Modern Languages & Literatures Department/faculty LLC supervisor with scheduling, training and supervision of LLC Assistant I. with LLC related data and work processing tasks. Other duties related to the operation of the LLC as assigned. |
| Qualifications | At least one year excellent performance as a Language Learning Center Assistant I. Excellent customer service and interpersonal skills. Able to multi-task. Able to operate existing LLC equipment. Willingness and ability to learn how to operate new LLC equipment. Able to follow and execute detailed instructions. Able to handle confidential material. Students with skills in the study of French, German, Ancient Greek, Hebrew, Latin, and/or Spanish preferred. Students with dual platform computer skills preferred. |
