| Duties | The Sports Information LEAD will work directly with a fellow Sports Information LEAD and under the supervision of the Sports Informaton Coordinator to specialize in the statistics management of all NCAA sports sponsored by FUS. The S.I. LEAD position includes assisting the SIC in training and managing a team of statisticians for all sports and the maintenance and upkeep of directories, rosters, and records for all past and current sport seasons. This includes leading electronic and paper game day statistics, website statistics upkeep, archive management, and all other duties as assigned. It is required to have a high level of competence of the Stat Crew Program. Collaboration with the Media Relations Coordinator will be needed at times. As in the case with all LEADs, the SI LEAD is responsible for attending all staff meetings as well as participating in the LEADs program in the Fall semester. |
| Qualifications | The applicant must be self-motivated and desciplined to work in a fast-paced, entrepreneur-style environment. Timeliness for all games and meetings is a must, as well as the ability to handle the job responsibilities quickly and under pressure for immediate in-game decisions. Effective communications skills with students and university staff is essential. Thorough knowledge in the details of as many sports as possible is important. Must be able to work in a team and learn the sports statistic systems quickly. Knowledge of StatCrew is a plus. Experience in sports statistics or playing varsity sports is ideal. Must able to work evenings and weekends and be open to attending sporting events on and off campus. |
