| Duties | Under the supervision of the Coordinator for Media Relations, the Graphic Design and Advertising LEAD specializes in the design and implementation of the NCAA Division III Athletics promotional programming at Franciscan University. Primary duties include managing and maintaining the Baron Varsity Wall, coordinating seasonal team photo shoots, designing and disseminating ALL on campus promotions for NCAA Division III contests and events , assisting in overseeing the effectiveness of all social media, and all other department of Athletics special projects and duties as assigned. As is the case with all LEADs, the Graphic Design and Advertising LEAD is responsible for attending weekly staff meetings as well as participating in the LEADs program in the fall semester. |
| Qualifications | The applicant must be self motivated, desciplined, and creative in order to effectively work in a fast-paced, intrepreneur-style environment. Must have excellent time management skills as well as the ability to meet strict deadlines. Effective communication skills with students and university staff is essential. Thorough knowledge of Adobe Photoshop, Adobe InDesign, and Microsoft Office programs is required; Adobe Illustrator knowledge is a plus. Experience in collegiate athletics leadership training is preferred but not necessary. Must have a design portfolio of previous professonial or academic work. Must be extremely proficient in all social media applications. Must be available to work some evenings and weekends, and be able to to attend occasional off campus events. Communication Arts students are ideal. |
