A Spiritual Bouquet for The Year of Mercy | Franciscan University of Steubenville
  • Spiritual Bouquet for the Year of Mercy

Our Holy Father, Pope Francis, has invited us to pray and meditate on the great mercy of God beginning on December 8, 2015.

As part of our Year of Mercy efforts we are encouraging you and our entire Franciscan University family to pledge to specific prayer and fasting exercises for the duration of the Year of Mercy.

Spend some moments praying about your commitments and what prayers and disciplines you can challenge yourself to take on for the sake of the Kingdom.

Consider some schedule of weekly rosaries, Divine Mercy Chaplets, Mass intentions, eucharistic holy hours, a weekly day of fasting, whatever you feel the Spirit calling you to offer for the intentions of the Holy Father during the Year of Mercy.

Challenge yourself, and let us know in the space below. We will add up the pledged offerings and post them in these Year of Mercy pages. Any personal information you share will be used only to alert you to Year of Mercy events, should you wish to receive updates.

May God richly bless you and shower his mercy upon you during the Year of Mercy and always!

    I pledge to offer:

Franciscan University of Steubenville is no ordinary university, and a Franciscan education is no ordinary education. Rather, it's an education as rigorous and demanding as it is faithful--an education that challenges you intellectually, forms you professionally, and feeds you spiritually.

You can help Franciscan lead the way in providing a faithfully Catholic education!
