Department of Chemistry, Physics, and Engineering

The Department of Chemistry, Physics, and Engineering at Franciscan University of Steubenville invites applications for a full-time, tenure-track position in physics. FUS is an academically excellent and passionately Catholic university in the Franciscan tradition, located 24 miles west of Pittsburgh International Airport.

Qualifications:

  • Ph.D. or equivalent in physics, engineering or related discipline at the time of employment;
  • preparedness and enthusiasm to teach introductory calculus-based physics courses, including lecture and laboratory;
  • commitment to supporting the growth and excellence of the University’s STEM programs;
  • commitment to excellence in teaching, scholarship, and service, and support of the Mission and Vision of the University;
  • commitment to supporting undergraduate research in the natural and/or applied
