JoAnn Sciarrino is Professor of Marketing and Director of the MBA Program in the Department of Accounting, Business Management and Economics at Franciscan University.
Sciarrino was formerly Professor and the Jim & Mary Pat Nelson Chair in Business-to-Business Analytics and co-Director of the Nelson Center for Brand and Demand Analytics at The University of Texas at Austin. Prior to UT Austin, Sciarrino was Professor and Knight Chair in Digital Advertising and Marketing at The University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill. Sciarrino is an advertising and marketing scholar and practitioner with research interests in digital marketing, analytics and brand attachment. Sciarrino is the author of more than 30 peer-reviewed articles in marketing and advertising effectiveness, as well as brand attachment. In 2016, she received the University of North Carolina Tanner Award, which recognizes excellence in inspirational teaching. Prior to academia, Sciarrino served as executive vice president for BBDO North America for 12 years, where she provided research, analytics and modelling solutions for more than 30 global brands, including AT&T, Starbucks, Hyatt, FedEx and L’Oreal.
