Journey with us...

This summer, over 80,000 Catholics from around the country will gather at Lucas Oil Stadium in Indianapolis to pray, learn, experience revival, and worship Christ in the Eucharist. Franciscan University invites you to join us on this pilgrimage—just as we join the tens of thousands of other pilgrims seeking Eucharistic revival for themselves, their families, communities, and country.

The historic event is the first National Eucharistic Congress in 83 years. From July 17-21, 2024, you will be able to attend impact, breakout, and revival sessions, reverent liturgies, and Eucharistic Adoration. As part of the five-day event, a Eucharistic Procession will be held in the streets of downtown Indianapolis.

Franciscan University of Steubenville is blessed to be a mission partner of the National Eucharistic Congress. In the Eucharist, we find the foundation of our Core Values—Encounter, Conversion, and Community.

Interests

“St. Francis of Assisi professed a deep love and adoration of the Eucharist. As we continue in the Franciscan tradition as a university community, we pray that each and every one of us comes to know the radical love of Christ in the Eucharist. ”

Fr. Dave Pivonka, TOR

President of Franciscan University of Steubenville

“O humble sublimity! O sublime humility! that the Lord of the universe, God and the Son of God, so humbles Himself that for our salvation He hides Himself under a morsel of bread.”

St. Francis of Assisi

“The Church is confected out of the Eucharist. The Eucharist is not one reality or doctrine among many. It is the “source and summit of the Christian life,” that which makes the communion of the Church itself. Because the Eucharist is, we are.”
