Renewable part-time position in organ instruction to begin Fall 2024.

The successful candidate will teach weekly one-hour lessons to organ majors (6-8) and one weekly one-hour studio class during the 24-25 school year. Successful candidate will possess a working knowledge of Catholic teaching on sacred music, particularly the magisterial documents since St. Pius X and should teach service playing, hymnody, as well as the standard repertory of Western art music for the instrument. Experience as a parish musician and the full tradition of Catholic sacred music are essential. M.A., M.M., or M.F.A. required; Ph.D. or D.M.A. preferred. Must be committed to teaching excellence and support Catholic values and the University’s Mission Statement.
