Father Gregory Plow, TOR

Associate to the Vice President for Franciscan Life

Father Gregory M. Plow, T.O.R., is a native of Chapel Hill, North Carolina. He attended the University of North Carolina at Wilmington where he graduated with a BA in mathematics, a concentration in education, teacher’s certification, and minors in statistics and art history. He earned a Master of Science in Education Administration from Franciscan University of Steubenville with a principal’s license and a concentration in curriculum instruction and professional development. Recently, in November of 2022, Fr. Gregory earned a Doctor of Ministry degree from The Catholic University of America, Washington, D.C.

Fr. Gregory currently serves as Associate to the Vice President for Franciscan Life and Head Chaplain of Athletics at Franciscan University of Steubenville.  He has served as the Province’s Director of Post-Novitiate Formation in Washington, D.C. as well as numerous pastoral and administrative roles, including Instructor of Mathematics, Director of Household Life (2009–2016), and Director of the Priestly Discernment Program (2016- 2019) at Franciscan University. His hobby is running, having trained for and completed nineteen marathons and eleven ultramarathons that he has used to raise scholarship money for Franciscan University’s neediest students. 

Fr. Gregory professed his first vows on May 31, 2003, and his solemn (final) vows on July 20, 2007. He was ordained a priest on the Feast of the Dedication of the Basilica of St. Francis of Assisi in May 2008.
