Message from Tiffany Boury
Today we live in an ever-changing political, economic and educational market requiring we provide every opportunity to graduate globally competent students. My time in India has assured me that this is the next place we will meet these needs.
Our partnership with Rajagiri, Kristu Jayanti, and Dharmaram Vidya Kshetram (Theology and Philosophy) Colleges will afford internships, faculty and student research, academic courses, and cultural immersion for all institutions. We are even in conversation to develop together an international Catholic consortium of Universities. Read More
The Order in India, the Carmelites of Mary Immaculate, is of the Syra-Malabar Catholic Church, the same as our Iraq MOU partners. They value education and service; they showed us great hospitality and were such a witness of deep faith. India is more than can be explained in a few words. The country is full of beautiful gardens, colorful and vibrant, rich foods and spices, but it’s the people. The people were incredibly generous with their time and care.
This coming year with our new India partners, I will work diligently to create pathways for students, faculty, and alumni to experience this for themselves. There is no greater way to understand our faith, ourselves and the world than to travel to meet others and be in community with them. St. Francis knew this and Franciscan University continues to invest in this mission.
In Christ,
Tiffany
