Steps for Admission

1

Apply Today

Complete the FREE application for admission online.

No essay or letters of recommendation are required, and the application only takes about 15 minutes!

2

Transcripts

Send an official copy of your high school transcript to the Admissions Office. A final official transcript is required of transfers and high school students upon graduating.

Note for Transferring College Credits: Those transferring from another institution must submit official transcripts from every institution attended. See our steps for transfer students.

3

Test Scores or Essay

In general, we require an applicant’s SAT, ACT, or CLT score and ask that it be sent to Admissions whether as part of an applicant’s transcript, straight from the testing agency, or as a PDF attachment of the score report.

*In lieu of the test requirement, Franciscan University will allow students applying for admission in Spring 2024 and Fall 2024 who are unable to take a standardized test to substitute a brief essay on the Mission of Franciscan University. For high school senior applicants who choose this option, a minimum cumulative weighted GPA of 3.2 is required for regular acceptance. If your GPA is below 3.2, contact your admissions counselor for options.

The essay can be emailed to [email protected] or to your admissions counselor with the subject line: “Undergraduate Admissions Essay.”

  • The essay must be one page, double spaced, Times New Roman 12 point font
  • If you have any questions about the testing requirements policy or require any assistance, please don’t hesitate to reach out to the admissions office at [email protected] or you can contact your admissions counselor directly.
