How to Apply for Aid
Financial Aid
- Beginning October 1, complete the FAFSA (Free Application for Federal Student Aid). Franciscan University FAFSA school code is 003036.
- Your results will be emailed to you, read through them.
- We will mail you a letter if any documents are missing—please open all mail from the Financial Aid office.
- View your Financial Aid awards, documents, and messages on The Port. After you’re logged in, under the left-hand-menu section labeled “Pages,” click on “Students” and then click on “Financial Aid & Student Accounts.”
- We will mail you an official Financial Aid Award letter.
- Log into The Port to accept your Financial Aid. You can also accept or decline student loans.
- If you accept your Federal student loan(s), you must complete two online forms: Entrance Counseling, and the Master Promissory Note (MPN). Both forms are available at www.studentaid.gov. Use your FAFSA ID to log in.
- IF APPLICABLE: Turn in any outside scholarships and documentation to Financial Aid Office.
- IF APPLICABLE: Notify Financial Aid of any Veterans benefits, College 529 plans, Trusts or other outside funding sources.
Payment
The Fall balance is due July 15th, Spring balance is due December 15th.
