STEUBENVILLE, OH—One of the most prominent pro-life advocates in the United States today, Father Frank Pavone, the national director of Priests for Life, will speak at Franciscan University of Steubenville on Wednesday, October 8.
Father Pavone’s talk, “The Responsibilities of Catholics in Politics and the Pro-Life Movement,” will take place at 9:00 p.m. in the Tony and Nina Gentile Gallery, J.C. Williams Center. He will speak on the responsibilities of Catholic students in the public square, especially in the pro-life movement.
A priest of the Diocese of Amarillo, Father Pavone serves full-time in the pro-life movement. In 1993, he became the national director of Priests for Life, and to this day, he travels throughout the country preaching and teaching against abortion. He is also the president of the National Pro-life Religious Council, and the national pastoral director of the Silent No More awareness campaign and of Rachel’s Vineyard, the world’s largest ministry for post-abortion healing.
In 2002, Father Pavone received an honorary doctorate in Christian letters from Franciscan University. He also received an honorary doctorate from Ave Maria University and the Pro Deo et Patria Medal for Distinguished Service to God and Country from Christendom College in 2009.
