      STEUBENVILLE, OHIO—Franciscan University tied for 11th out of 165 Midwest universities in the 2019 U.S. News & World Report Best Colleges Rankings. It was Franciscan’s highest ranking since its first appearance in the elite top tier division in 1998. Last year, Franciscan was ranked 19th.

      In an era when many private and public universities are experiencing declines in enrollment due to demographic shifts and other factors, Franciscan University of Steubenville will welcome its largest-ever incoming class with 680 new students attending orientation for the fall 2018 semester. That total represents a five percent increase from last year and includes the largest number of new male students in the University’s history.
