STEUBENVILLE, OHIO—The Criminal Justice Program and the Admissions Office at Franciscan University of Steubenville are sponsoring Criminal Justice Day on Friday, October 14, where individuals can learn about the academic program. In addition, the Criminal Justice Program is hosting its second annual Career Day for Criminal Justice, where participants can speak to employers about career paths.

The events, to be held concurrently from 2:00 p.m. to 5:00 p.m. in the J.C. Williams Center, welcome prospective and current students, as well as other members of the University and local community. Representatives of the Drug Enforcement Agency, Border Patrol, Secret Service, Ohio and Pennsylvania State Police, U.S. Capitol Police, prosecutor’s offices, forensics, law schools, and many more will be present to answer questions about career paths in criminal justice. Dr. Charles Nemeth, director of Franciscan University’s Criminal Justice Program, will also be present to answer questions about the program, as well as the educational requirements, applications, and hiring processes in the field.

The Center for Criminal Justice, Law, and Ethics at Franciscan University seeks to change the landscape of the justice system nationally and internationally by forming justice professionals who measure justice by perennial principles of the natural law and Catholic moral tradition and advancing the integration of natural law principles into justice operations.
