STEUBENVILLE, OH—Duo Mignarda’s performance of Alma Redemptoris Mater, music dedicated to the Blessed Virgin Mary, originally scheduled for January 25 but postponed due to bad weather, has been rescheduled for Sunday, February 8 at 2:00 p.m. in the Tony and Nina Gentile Gallery, J.C. Williams Center. Sponsored by the Franciscan University Fine Arts Department, this event is free and open to the public.
Mignarda is acclaimed for their fresh and engaging approach to 16th-century music that sets a new precedent for interpretation, authenticity, and musicianship of lute and voice music. This husband and wife duo of Ron Andrico and Donna Stewart have produced 10 critically acclaimed CDs and published a series of performance song books of historical music for voice and lute.
