My name is Ari Kalpakgian, and I have had a connection to Franciscan University for most of my life. I spent five years of my childhood living in Gaming, Austria, on Franciscan’s study abroad campus, so Franciscan has been a familiar and meaningful part of my life for many years. After moving to beautiful San Diego, California, I eventually found my way back to Franciscan when it was time to choose a college.
My time at Franciscan has been filled with many great memories, from returning to my childhood home in Gaming through the study abroad program to meeting lifelong friends and playing intramural sports. More importantly, Franciscan gave me countless opportunities to grow deeper in my relationship with Christ through daily Mass, Adoration, and the many ways the Catholic faith is lived out on campus. Franciscan has played a significant role in shaping who I am today, and I am excited to now serve as an admissions counselor and help you discover what Franciscan has to offer.
I look forward to helping you discern your vocation and find your place at Franciscan!
