My name is Jazzlyn Melnyk, and I am grateful to serve as one of the Online Undergraduate Admissions Counselors! As a local, I have had the opportunity to grow up with this amazing University practically in my backyard. With that being said, I took full advantage of that, and I have received both my bachelor’s degree in management and my master’s in business administration from Franciscan!  Every year, I have been able to see this University continue to grow and flourish, which has been such a gift.

During my time as a student, I was very active, especially in athletics. I was a member of the Women’s Basketball Team for all five years, which allowed me to grow in every aspect of life: physically, mentally, and spiritually. I was also able to lead fitness classes, train two of our women’s sports teams, and take on other leadership roles within our athletic department and in other clubs across campus. Franciscan has allowed me to continue to grow as a disciple of Jesus, and I am so blessed that I have been able to live out the University’s mission!

Now, in my current role, I am able to assist future students as they explore Franciscan and understand the mission. One of the things I love the most about this job is getting students on the path to begin this very special journey, just as I was able to experience it. It is such a blessing that I am able to continue to be a part of the growing Franciscan community – God is truly so good!
