Hello! My name is Meghan Hickey, and I am an Admissions Counselor here at Franciscan University!
I grew up in Cleveland, Ohio, in a family of eight children and two loving parents. Franciscan has always been a special part of my family’s story. My parents met and graduated from Franciscan, and I am the fourth of eight to attend the University. I currently have three siblings who are also here at Franciscan, with the eighth to be here in a few years. I graduated from Franciscan University in May 2025 with a degree in Early Childhood Education. During my time at Franciscan, I was a student-athlete playing Volleyball all four years. I also joined The Little Flowers Household my freshman year, which became a beautiful and meaningful part of my Franciscan experience. One of my favorite opportunities during my time at Franciscan was participating in the Study Abroad program in Austria, where I was able to grow in my faith and education, while exploring the world!
After graduating, I moved to Florida to begin my career as a first-grade teacher. While I loved my time in the classroom, God had a different plan for me. He called me back to my second home, Franciscan University, and I am so grateful to be here once again.
There is such a profound joy and presence of the Holy Spirit at Franciscan. I feel this presence each and every day guiding me to grow in my faith. Coming back to Franciscan has been such a gift, and I am so thankful for the opportunity to share this experience with every student I encounter!
