STEUBENVILLE, OHIO—The business programs at Franciscan University of Steubenville were recently granted accreditation by the Board of Commissioners of the International Assembly for Collegiate Business Education (IACBE). It is the first time these programs have earned this distinction from the IACBE.

“Receiving IACBE accreditation is an important recognition for the business programs at our University,” said Franciscan University vice president for Academic Affairs, Dr. Daniel Kempton. “The business faculty comprise dedicated academics and professionals who are committed to providing real-world business education illuminated by Catholic social thought. I congratulate all our business faculty and related support staff for their contributions on this notable achievement.”

Franciscan University’s Department of Accounting, Business, and Economics offers both undergraduate and graduate degrees, with undergraduate majors in accounting, economics, finance, international business, management, and marketing, along with a graduate MBA degree.

The IACBE was founded in 1997 and is nationally recognized by the Council for Higher Education Accreditation (CHEA). It is the leader in mission-driven and outcomes-based programmatic accreditation in business and management education for student-centered colleges, universities, and other higher education institutions throughout the world. See the IACBE press release below.
