STEUBENVILLE, OHIO—On September 29, the Franciscan University of Steubenville Criminal Justice Program will hold its third annual Career Day for Criminal Justice, where participants can explore career paths with over 30 employers from across the United States.
The event will be held from 2:00 p.m. to 5:00 p.m. at Franciscan University’s J.C. Williams Center and will welcome prospective and current University students, high school students, and the general public.
An unprecedented number of representatives from local, state, and federal agencies will gather in Steubenville for the event. The agencies include the Drug Enforcement Agency; Border Patrol; Secret Service; Marine Corps; IRS Criminal Investigation Unit; Federal Bureau of Prisons; Michigan, Maryland, Ohio, and Pennsylvania State Police; Pittsburgh, Cleveland, and Cincinnati City Police; U.S. Capitol Police; Duquesne, Cleveland, and Ave Maria law schools; prosecutor’s offices; forensics; and many more. They will engage with participants interested in pursuing career paths in criminal justice as well as internship opportunities in the justice agencies.
Dr. Charles Nemeth, director of Franciscan University’s Criminal Justice Program, will also be present to answer questions about the academic program, as well as the educational requirements, applications, and hiring processes in the field.

The Center for Criminal Justice, Law, and Ethics at Franciscan University seeks to change the landscape of the justice system nationally and internationally by forming justice professionals who measure justice by perennial principles of the natural law and Catholic moral tradition, and advancing the integration of natural law principles into justice operations.
