STEUBENVILLE, OHIO—Franciscan University of Steubenville will host a Night of Joy on Thursday, April 9, from 7:00 p.m.-9:00 p.m. (Eastern) in the Pope St. Paul VI Event Center, Christ the Teacher Hall. This special event is open to an in-person audience free of charge.

Taking place during the Octave of Easter, Night of Joy will be a unique opportunity to enter more deeply into the joyful season of the Resurrection.

Franciscan University President Father Dave Pivonka, TOR, will lead attendees through an evening of uplifting talks, powerful worship, and moments of prayer, reminding us that the victory of the Resurrection is not meant to be celebrated only on Easter day or even during the Easter season, but throughout everyday Christian life.

Father Pivonka’s keynote will focus on the abiding joy that Jesus’ resurrection offers to the world. In his message, he will highlight that because the grave is empty, sin and death have no hold, and our joy is rooted in God’s victory rather than a tentative happiness that rises and falls with our circumstances.

Sponsored by Steubenville Conferences as an extension of their summer programing, Night of Joy will also include eucharistic adoration with reflections by Vice President of Franciscan Life Father Jonathan St. André, TOR, and uplifting worship music performed by international country artist and worship leader John Paul Von Arx.

To attend in person, please register for free here.

The evening’s event will be shared via livestream.
