STEUBENVILLE, OHIO — The Center for Beauty at Franciscan University of Steubenville will launch its spring series of Monday evening musical performances and talks on February 16, 2026.

All upcoming presentations are open at no cost to the public and will take place at 6:00 p.m. in various locations around campus.

 

Monday, February 16, 2026

“Choral Holy Hour and Adoration” with music by Heri et Hodie and Yesterday and Today Treble Choir, Christ the King Chapel. 

At 7:30 p.m., after the conclusion of the Holy Hour, Father Patrick Whittle, TOR, Franciscan theology professor, will give a talk on “Living Lent” at the Gentile Gallery in the J.C. Williams Center.

“Baroque Birthday Bash for Bach” with music by Franciscan’s Sacred Music students, Pope St. Paul VI Event Center, Christ the Teacher Hall. Students will present music of the Baroque period in honor of J.S. Bach’s 341st birthday.

 

Monday, April 13, 2026

“Astralis Ensemble,” Pope St. Paul VI Event Center, Christ the Teacher Hall. An evening of classic gems for flute, viola, and harp trio.

 

Monday, April 20, 2026

“Chamber Music at Franciscan Concert Series,” Pope St. Paul VI Event Center, Christ the Teacher Hall. Music will be presented by members of the Pittsburgh Symphony Orchestra.

 

The Center for Beauty aims to help people develop a deeper understanding and appreciation of beauty as a living truth in its ability to touch, instruct, and move them to desire the Transcendent. The center also seeks to support Franciscan University and its local community in the production and presentation of that which is beautiful in the areas of visual arts, music, drama, and literature.
