STEUBENVILLE, OH— On December 1, Franciscan University of Steubenville will participate in #GivingTuesday, the annual worldwide day of giving. All donations received by Franciscan University will go toward student scholarships and financial aid.
“I don’t want any of our students to miss the chance to be educated, evangelized, and sent forth as witnesses of God’s love in the Church and the world,” said Father Dave Pivonka, president of Franciscan University.
“Yet, the reality is that 90 percent of our students need financial aid. We’ve heard many stories of the sacrifices made by parents so their children could come to Franciscan University in the midst of this worldwide pandemic. For our students’ sake, please consider a donation to Franciscan University on Giving Tuesday.”
You can watch a message from Father Pivonka and “Friar Fritz” and make a donation at Franciscan.edu/GivingTuesday.
Every person who donates $60 or more to Franciscan University, either as a one-time gift or at $5 per month, will receive a forest-green T-shirt with a Franciscan University logo.
Those who give $250 or more will receive the 10-episode Metanoia DVD set. Beautifully filmed on location in the Holy Land, this series leads viewers on a journey with Christ into conversion, with preaching from Father Pivonka, founder of the Ministry of the Wild Goose, and testimonies by people from all walks of life.
Giving Tuesday starts November 20 and continues through the official day for Giving Tuesday—December 1, 2020.
