Only International Students who want to come on campus to study need to apply for an International Student Visa. International Students who apply for online study do not need to apply for an International Student Visa.

Franciscan University operates on a semester-system academic calendar. In a 12-month year there are two semesters, each containing 15 weeks of class instruction plus examination periods. The fall semester begins in late August and ends in mid-December. The spring semester begins in early January and ends in early May. Summer classes are also available.
