Showing of the Film La Strada

STEUBENVILLE,OH—The Franciscan Film Society will present La Strada (The Road), an Italian neorealist film directed by Federico Fellini, on Friday, October 21, at 7:00 p.m. in Franciscan University of Steubenville’s Anathan Theatre, Egan Hall. Admission is free.

La Strada is on the Vatican’s list of 100 important films and is one of Pope Francis’ favorite films.

La Strada portrays the gypsy Zampano, a traveling circus strong-man, who buys and takes a naïve young woman to perform with him on the road where he encounters his rival, the Fool.

A panel discussion will follow the film. Franciscan University alumnus Brian Robau ’14, who recently recieved a 2016 silver Student Academy Award for his short film, “It’s Just A Gun,” will be one of the panelists.

This event is sponsored by the Communication Arts and Fine Arts Departments and is free and open to the public.
