STEUBENVILLE, OH—Franciscan University of Steubenville will prayerfully observe the Lenten season with the presentation of three concerts. All performances are free and open to the public.

Organ Studio Recital
Friday, April 4, 7:30 p.m.
St. Peter Catholic Church, Steubenville

Enjoy the works of Bach, Gigout, Dupre, Buxtehude, Mendelssohn, Brahms, and Franck, as performed by the students in the organ studio of Professor Nicholas Will, Franciscan University assistant professor of sacred music.

Concert for Holy Week
Palm Sunday, April 13, 7:00 p.m.
St. Alphonsus Church, Wheeling, WV

The Schola Cantorum Franciscana will sing works by Palestrina, Allegri, Lotti, Viadana, Lassus, Gibbons, Howells, and Vaughan Williams.

Tenebrae
Wednesday, April 16, 7:00 p.m.
Christ the King Chapel, Franciscan University of Steubenville

The Schola Cantorum Franciscana will perform Tenebrae responsories written by Franciscan friar Lodovico da Viadana (1560-1627) as well as Gregorio Allegri’s famous “Miserere.”
