STEUBENVILLE, OHIO—The Catholic app Hallow announced a new “Saints in 7 Days” series on the life of St. Francis with Franciscan University of Steubenville President Father Dave Pivonka, TOR ’89. With over 13 million downloads in more than 150 countries, Hallow has quickly become the world’s most popular prayer app.

Father Pivonka joins an inspiring lineup of world-renowned Catholic speakers on Hallow that includes Father Mike Schmitz, The Chosen’s Jonathan Roumie, and Bishop Robert Barron.

According to Hallow, Father Pivonka’s new series will follow the journey of St. Francis from privileged son and knight to his radical conversion and remarkable discipleship of Jesus Christ. Along the way, it will reveal why St. Francis is still popular 800 years after his death and what he has to teach us today.

“We are incredibly excited to be adding the life and spirituality of St. Francis of Assisi to our ‘Saints in 7 Days’ series,” said Hallow co-founder Alessandro DiSanto. “In developing a plan to shine a spotlight on St. Francis, we were humbled beyond belief to have the ability to do so in collaboration with Father Dave Pivonka, TOR. We could not imagine a better guide to bring St. Francis to life for our many users across the world.”

Hallow has been used to pray more than 300 million times in over 150 countries around the world. The first ever prayer app to break into the Top 10 apps in the United States, it peaked at No. 3 last year, surpassing Tiktok, Google, and Netflix.

Franciscan University has partnered with Hallow for the past two years as a Champion University partner. Through this partnership, Franciscan University students, faculty, and staff receive free premium access to Hallow and its wide-ranging audio library of Catholic faith-based meditations and prayers. University alumni and Steubenville Conferences’ participants can also benefit from special offers to access Hallow.
