73rd Annual Commencement 

Celebrating the Class of 2021 

Franciscan University of Steubenville’s President, Board of Trustees, and faculty eagerly anticipates honoring graduates of the Class of 2021 at this year’s commencement ceremonies.  Graduation weekend is scheduled for Friday and Saturday, May 14 and 15, 2021.  Please keep the University in your prayers as we plan this event and our graduates as they complete degree requirements.   

Schedule: 

Baccalaureate Mass:  Friday, May 14 at 6:00 p.m. 

Science Commencement Ceremony:  Saturday, May 15 at 9:00 a.m. 

Arts Commencement Ceremony: Saturday, May 15 at 1:00 p.m. 

Each of these events will be held outdoors on an athletic field, weather permitting.  Finnegan Fieldhouse is the alternate location in the event of rain.  

Guests: 

We anticipate offering each graduate two guest tickets for commencement, pending relevant Covid restrictions at that time.  Should Baccalaureate Mass be moved indoors, Mass will be limited to graduates only.  Guests may still be accommodated at an indoor commencement ceremony. 

Safety Precautions: 

We ask that any graduate or guest exhibiting symptoms of Covid or those who have been in close contact with someone who has Covid refrain from attending all commencement events.  Seating will be spatially distanced and masks may be required at times in accordance with state regulations (i.e. indoor events or when distance cannot be maintained outdoors).
