Reclaiming the Carol
Richard Corbo, a renowned actor and Charles Dickens impersonator, has performed several characters on EWTN’s Saint vs. Scoundrels from Thomas Hobbes to Francis Bacon to Rene Descartes.
He created a one-man show on Charles Dickens called “Reclaiming the Carol.” It’s based on a Marian vision Dickens had before his death in Genoa where the Holy Mother told him that, in spreading the news of Jesus’ redemptive love when writing A Christmas Carol, Dickens should have shouted but instead he whispered. After this event, Dickens was said to have a deathbed conversion. EWTN filmed Mr. Corbo’s one man show and it has played every Christmas season for over 250 million EWTN viewers internationally. He has also performed “Reclaiming the Carol” to the Dickens Society of Boston and other venues throughout New England.
He will perform “Reclaiming the Carol” on December 9 at 8:00 p.m. in Anathan Theatre. There will be a brief Q-and-A with Mr. Corbo after his performance.
The following night at 7:00 p.m., he will also perform Christmas poetry downtown at Chesterton and Company Cigars
