“The Miracle Worker” Matinee in Anathan Theatre
Join the Franciscan University’s Theatre Department as their spring performance, The Miracle Worker, imparts hard lessons about the struggles and value of tough love.
The Miracle Worker is the true story of the relationship between deaf-blind prodigy Helen Keller, and her life-long teacher and friend, Annie Sullivan. As a last resort before institutionalizing her, Annie fights to teach Helen to communicate in order to heal not only Helen herself, but the broken family from which she comes.
A powerful Broadway drama directed by Theatre Professor John Walker, The Miracle Worker, will be performed March 27 and 28 and April 3 and 4 at 8:00 p.m., and March 29 and April 5 at 2:00 p.m. in Anathan Theatre, located on the ground level of Egan Hall.
Tickets are $4 for adults and $2 for students and seniors. Admission is free for clergy, religious, and children under 12. Tickets may be reserved by calling Karen Homol at 740-283-6245, Monday-Friday, 8:00 a.m.-4:00 p.m., or bought at the door on a first-come, first served basis.
