STEUBENVILLE, OHIO—Hallow is launching its first prayer series created specifically for college and university students, featuring three leaders from Franciscan University of Steubenville.

Beginning Monday, August 24, The Good Life will offer weekly prayer and accompaniment for young adults led by Father Dave Pivonka, TOR, Franciscan University president; Heather Khym, director of Ministry Formation and Vision Integration; and Jake Khym, dean of Human and Spiritual Formation.

“Each week we are going to offer a reflection, a practical thing they can apply in their walk with God, and we will take time to pray with them,” said Heather Khym.

Topics will address some of the most common questions and struggles of college life, including how to pray, building authentic community and friendships, loneliness, anxiety and peace, and navigating the storms of life.

The series reflects Franciscan University’s broader commitment to the human and spiritual formation of its students.

As dean of Human and Spiritual Formation, Jake Khym oversees efforts to help students grow in prayer, relationships, identity, community, and vocational discernment. He has spearheaded Franciscan’s Formation Monday initiative, which intentionally sets aside time throughout the academic year for the human and spiritual formation of students.

The Good Life also builds on Franciscan University’s ongoing partnership with Hallow and Father Pivonka’s previous programming on the popular Catholic prayer app. His Hallow series include the 90-day Daily Holy Spirit and Francis of Assisi in Seven Days, and he is a regular contributor to the Daily Homilies series. In 2025, Father Pivonka also joined Katie Prejean McGrady to lead hundreds of thousands of Catholics in prayer on Hallow during the papal conclave.

“Franciscan University has been involved in the formation of college students for decades. It’s a blessing to be able to reach out to a larger group of college students to help form them and walk with them in the faith,” said Father Pivonka.

While The Good Life is designed especially for college and university students, the series will be available to all Hallow users.
