Steps for Admission

1

Apply Today

Complete the FREE application for admission online.

No letters of recommendation are required, and the application only takes about 15 minutes!

2

Transcripts

Send an official copy of your high school transcript to the Admissions Office. A final official transcript is required of transfers and high school students upon graduating.

Note for Transferring College Credits: Those transferring from another institution must submit official transcripts from every institution attended. See our steps for transfer students.

3

Test Scores or Essay

We require an applicant’s SAT, ACT, and/or CLT score OR a short essay.

If submitting a qualifying test score, we ask it be sent to Admissions as part of an applicant’s transcript, straight from the testing agency, or in an email with a PDF attachment of the score report.

*In lieu of submitting a test score, students applying for admission in Spring 2025 or Fall 2025 with a 3.2 or higher cumulative weighted GPA may submit a one-page, double-spaced, 12-point-font essay using the following prompt:

At Franciscan University, our mission is “to educate, evangelize, and send forth joyful disciples.” Share a story or example from your life that shows how your faith and intellectual growth have shaped you into who you are today. How do you hope your time at Franciscan University will help you continue to grow spiritually and academically?

The essay can be emailed to [email protected] or to your admissions counselor with the subject line: “Undergraduate Admissions Essay.”

If you have any questions about the testing requirements policy or require any assistance, please don’t hesitate to reach out to the admissions office at [email protected] or you can contact your admissions counselor directly.
