General Catherine (Cathy) A. Chilton

Cathy served in the Air Force for 37 years retiring as a Major General in November 2018. She served in a variety of leadership, engineering, test and acquisition positions. Her experience is vast and varied in multiple weapon systems including fixed wing aircraft, air to ground and air to air weapons, missile defense interceptors and space systems.
Some of her key assignments include test and evaluation of the flutter characteristics of the F-16 and flying qualities of the A-10, sustainment of TF-39 engine, technical lead for source selection of a Missile Defense program, NFIRE satellite program manager, Mobilization Assistant to the Commander AF Space Command and the Undersecretary of the Air Force and Director of Air, Space and Information Operations for Headquarters Air Force Material Command. Her undergraduate degree is in Applied Physics, her master’s degree is in Electro-Optics and she is a distinguished graduate from the AF Test Pilot School Test Engineering Course.
Since retiring Cathy is enjoying Colorado and all it has to offer and visiting family. She is also continuing to use her AF experience as a consultant and volunteering in the community.
