Joshua McCaig

JOSHUA MCCAIG is a shareholder at Polsinelli, P.C. one of the 100 largest law firms in the United States, where his legal practice focuses on the areas of general corporate, health care, and intellectual property, as well as serving as outside general counsel for various organizations and religious entities.  Joshua regularly advises and consults with start-up companies and entrepreneurial ventures on both legal and business issues, including for-profit and non-profit organizations that desire to integrate the Catholic faith into the culture of the organization.

Joshua is a 1997 graduate of Franciscan University of Steubenville, where he triple majored in biology, philosophy and theology.  He obtained a masters degree from Ithaca College in 2000 and is a member of the inaugural class of Ave Maria School of Law where he earned his Juris Doctor degree in 2003.

In response to a need within the Catholic legal community, Joshua founded the Catholic Bar Association in 2015, a national organization for Catholic legal professionals, and served as its founding president through the initial years of its development.  Joshua regularly appears in the media, including on C-Span, being quoted by the Washington Times, Fox News, The Daily Signal and U.S. News, and contributing opinion commentary to The Hill.  He is a frequent guest on Catholic shows including EWTN’s Morning Glory, Kresta in the Afternoon, Catholic Connection with Teresa Tomeo, The Drew Mariani Show, A Closer Look with Sheila Liaugminas and others.

Joshua was honored to be a guest panelist at the 2017 Convocation of Catholic Leaders on the topic of religion and politics, and speaks internationally on issues related to the faith, including religious liberty, health care and the integration of the Catholic faith into the professional life.  Joshua is frequently asked to be a keynote speaker at Red Mass events throughout the United States.

Joshua is recognized within his profession by his peers with an AV rating from Martindale Hubbell, selection as a SuperLawyer in Missouri & Kansas from 2011 through the present, and he received the prestigious Up and Coming Lawyer award in 2013 from the Missouri Lawyers Weekly.  Joshua is a recipient of the St. Thomas More Award from the Catholic Lawyers Guild of Kansas City, the Alumni Citizenship award from Franciscan University of Steubenville, and was the inaugural recipient of the Alumni Lifetime Achievement Award from Ave Maria School of Law.   Joshua sits on the boards of various national and international organizations.

Joshua is a parishioner of St. Andrew the Apostle Parish in Gladstone, Missouri with his wife, Cathy, and their four children.
